Film & Stage Magazine covers performance and the people who make it. A pitch is welcome if it sits inside that world and says something a reader could not get from a press release.

What to include
A short, specific proposal
Keep it to a few paragraphs and cover:
- 01The angle
What the story argues or reveals, in one or two sentences. - 02Relevance
Why now — a premiere, a season, an anniversary, a shift in the field. - 03Proposed sources
Who you would speak to, and how firm those conversations are. - 04Access
Any access you already hold: rehearsal, backstage, archive, embargoed material. - 05Delivery timetable
When you could file, and the approximate length you envisage.
Please send a portfolio link or two or three representative clips rather than an unsolicited full manuscript. Photographers should link to a gallery rather than attach files.

Submitting a pitch does not create a commission or transfer ownership of your work. Fees, expenses, deadlines and publishing rights are agreed in writing before commissioned work begins.
We read everything that reaches the pitches address. We do not publish a universal daily rate, and we cannot offer paid work to everyone who writes to us.
